Cebu's Trademarks

Sharing the key chains I got during my recent Cebu trip this year:

Cebu's guitar
Cebu are very known for their quality-made guitar; bought this from the souvenir stalls right beside Magellan's shrine

Magellan's cross
one major landmark in Cebu is Megallan's Cross; bought this just from the kids selling sorts of key chains outside the Magellan's cross

Crown Regency Hotel's SkyAdventure
this was just a freebie for experiencing their one-of-a-kind attraction, famous indeed in the Philippines! (not a key chain though)

Moalboal's turtle
I went for an introductory dive in Moalboal, Cebu but haven't found any key chain symbolizing the coastal town aside from this one. Well, the town if know for their diving sites and probably turtles might be found under the waters there.

I would like also to include my two previous key chains, both of course from Cebu as well:

bought this when I was sent to Cebu for work due to a project launch 2-3 years ago

I'm sorry but I already forgot who gave this to me :'(

Robe's Pension House

On my recent trip to Cebu, me and my friends chose this Pension House (Robe's Pension House) due to three primary reasons - it is just a walking distance from Osmena Boulevard (the main avenue going to Fuente Osmena Circle - the heart of Cebu City), it is near the historic landmarks in Cebu and it is cheap!

Here are the pictures I captured during our stay:

Insights:
  • Reservation through emails is a breeze; very comfortable and I even requested to have our rooms at second floor. They do also entertain questions and replies within the day!
  • Don't just rely on them asking what jeep code to take. They will give you an advice to take a taxi instead 80% of the time.
  • When we arrived, our toilet is clogged but it was fixed immediately within 30 minutes. Fast and quick turnaround!
  • Their phone lines might have crosstalks or is not properly designated. I was calling our friends' room but I was lead to a different room; and someone called our room but they were intended for the reception.
  • Very helpful attendants and receptionists plus the guard greets you and opens the door for you; seems like a hotel.
  • I think their location and price is truly a winner!
  • Walking distance from Fuente Osmena Circle (about 20mins), to Colon St (about 20mins), to Cebu South Bus Terminal (about 20mins). Jeeps are everywhere at Osmena Blvd. One ride to SM Cebu and Ayala Center, to Lahug etc.

I would definitely recommend this to others and will stay here for my next Cebu vacation!
