Calaguas Island

Last week I just visited one of the most spectacular virgin islands my eyes had lied upon. It was an 8-10 hours bus ride from Cubao (Manila) then from Vinzon's Port, Daet, Camarines Norte we took a 2-hour boat ride going to the island. The long travel is a sure worth it! it took all my stress and hardships away upon seeing the white sand and crystal clear waters. Feast and drool upon these views of the island..

The Devil Inside

Just watched this movie and it really scared me to grasp my whole body steadily. Up until outside of the movie house, I am still carried away with how the story of the film went. All the while I thought it was a true story, not until I searched it on the net. For me, the set-up and the exorcism story here wasn't that familiar, especially the transfer of spirit possession from one body to another.

From the net, I sought several negative comments about the film. I guess what made this film effective for me is that I never knew that this was only a fictional film and I believed every stunts of it.

Mimosa's Montevista Villas

As promised, here is a brief review on my recent stay at Mimosa Leisure Park's Montevista Villas inside the Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City, Pampanga.

entrance going to the reception hall
First feel upon entering the compound is that you are in a secluded area. Somewhere outside the Philippines. Somewhere on the rural county in the US. The big trees and the vast roads plays the major role on this impression.
a big tree at night, wondering if someone will show up!
The villa itself is old and you can say that it is because of its old furniture and air conditioning unit. Needless to say, they are all maintained in a perfect way that you won't be worrying of bugs or termites on your mattress; well, we just can't erase our ghost scares! The interiors are well architecturally-designed and finished. We are all in-awe upon seeing each and every room of the house. There is a surprise every time we discover something. Enough of the words, here are some of the snapshots of the villa.
the facade of the villa, still freshly painted

the wide and spacious kitchen area where we fit it the dinning table as well

a hard thick ceramic side lamp on the bedroom

hallway on the second floor, view from one of the rooms

bedroom no1 with sliding closet door

the master's bedroom with huge comfort room and a walk-in closet

the master's comfort room, bigger than the others
By the way, we got a three-bedroom two-storey villa with 2 toilet & bath and 1 toilet. We got this for Php7,500 a night.

Even if our first night isn't over yet, my dad said "we shall return to this place and invite others!" and everyone of us agreed.

facebook timeline

Finally just tonight I finally decided to turn my facebook profile into timeline format. Why? Because I saw my mom's profile more updated than mine. The picture on top is my chosen cover photo. The aspect ratio of it is 850px by 315px. It exactly fit there, need to search for it though as facebook doesn't have info on the exact size. The picture says the places I've been into here in the Philippines. I just don't know if it's complete but more likely it's 90% complete. Why I chose this? It's because I love to travel and I think it's one of my passions!

Clark Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012

Entrance ticket
Just wanna share some of my shots when I recently witnessed this amazing festival which uncannily exists in our region.
the day started with parachutes in the air and the Philippine flag alongside with the National Antheme

you'll get to see balloon being fill up from flat

these flames can be felt from our position

nothing compares seeing lots of huge balloons on the air, on-of-a-kind!

they come in different shapes and sizes..plus colors!

and there are some who failed to be launched :(

I suggest you go to the site before 5am, better yet by 4am, to avoid the long traffic and have parking spaces near the entrance. Also, look for you position near the fences to see these balloons up-close. Ticket costs Php200 and lines were fast even if it's long; so don't bother buying from scalpers whom will charge you over. If you have extra time, better check-in on some hotels/villas inside Clark Freeport Zone; like we did (will post one next).
